12.23.09 Class

Wednesday, December 23rd, 2009

12.23.09 Class – No wind, cool. Last workout of the year, and it was high energy. We warmed up, moved right into legs, followed by a cardio clock. Two sets of push-ups / core work, and then we finished with stations. The folks who came out really made this a special workout, and made it a terrific close-out of 2009!

At 0530 it looked iffy – strong lightning and thunder. As luck would have it, the skies parted and at 0740 the rain stopped. Modified the workout today for the runners – focused on lateral movement and stability + agility, in addition to strength. Ended with a good stretch. Nice workout!

12.5.09 Class

The hardy souls who showed up in today’s conditions made it through one of the most rewarding workouts to date. In addition to braving a steady rain and mid 40s, we kicked it up a notch on the cardio block with back-to-back-to-back agility drills on the hurdles, jump rope and mountain climbers. A great accomplishment to end the week…

12.02.09 Class

Mid 40s this morning.  Rain held off for the entire class – very slight drizzle as we closed up.  We broke in the new jumpropes, and experimented with changing distances between hurdles in the cardio block.  Stationary side planks got a few groans this morning, but our obliques will thank us in a couple of days…
