1.30.10 Class

1.30.10 Class – Mostly snowing with windy sleet!  Not exactly ideal conditions, but a great time was had by all…  We ran 1/4 mile intervals around the park, interspersed with leg-work and pushups / core (under cover of the pavilion).  150 push-ups total.  All of this capped off with coffee in the warmth of Weaver Street Market.

1.27.10 Class – Mostly sunny, light wind. 2 cycles of push-ups + core, followed by stations of side planks, flutter kicks, upright rows and more. A leg series, and then speed ladder + multiple hurdle drills. Good stretch / cool down…

1.23.10 Class – Beautiful morning! – really good leg-work segment followed by stations (shoulders / flutter kicks / ‘Around The World’ planks).  2 cycles of push-ups + core, and agility drills at the end.

Solid class this morning. Harder leg routine than typical, and not a lot of downtime. Good strength circuits. Finished with some med ball passes up and down the courts.

2010 Poseidon Fitness Challenge

The 2010 Poseidon Fitness Challenge is “in the books”- A great workout today for a great cause – The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund (http://www.fallenheroesfund.org/). 2010 repetitions total – including 200 push-ups. 1.13.10 Class – Moved legs to the beginning of class, and worked them well this morning. Excellent push-up / core routine – practicing for Saturday’s 2010 Poseidon Fitness Challenge. Did some dot drills during the cardio block for the skiers in the group, and finished off with a good stretch…

1.9.10 Class – Alternated push-ups / legs / core work in the beginning and experimented with moving the cardio block to the end – mountain climbers are officially on the ‘least favorite’ exercise list… Very good workout and excellent camaraderie…

1.6.10 Class – Focus today was on pre-season triathlon training for one of our clients. We spent the first part of the class on running and leg strength work, followed by an extended core / stretching block.

1.2.10 Class – Beautiful, crisp morning… First class of 2010!!! Good strength routine, and cardio circuit. Everyone’s agility is improving, so we will add some new tests in future classes. Quote of the morning before the strength portion: “I smell planks…” And he was right!
