2.27.10 Class

Saturday, February 27th, 2010

Great weather – cool, clear.  Push-ups + core, then stations of side planks, shoulder presses, ‘Burt Reynolds’, etc.  Added some new leg exercises incl alternating lunges with 4 reps in between each step (for a good burn…).  The final cardio block was intense – suicides, mtn climbers, quick reaction hurdle drills + partner layup drills.

2.24.10 Class

Wednesday, February 24th, 2010

Overcast, ever-so-slight drizzle.  Started with legs today, and picked up the pace (and energy level) as we cruised through some stations, followed by 2 cycles of push-ups + core.  The cardio was a bit more rapid-fire than usual – great agility work / change of direction drills today.

2.20.10 Class

Sunday, February 21st, 2010

Clear blue skies, no wind. Lots of class energy this morning. 3 cycles of push-ups / core, and then we really challenged the legs after a few brief stations. Two cardio loops of speed ladder + hurdles + jump rope + med ball taps brought us to a solid finish.

2.17.10 Class

2.17.10 Class – Another beautiful, crisp morning.  2 cycles of push-ups / core / legs.  Multiple stations including biceps curls, flutter kicks, medicine ball figure 8’s (for the shoulders), and more. We pushed hard in the speed / agility / quickness / cardio portion – the jumprope/bench step-up combo seemed to be a great pairing…

2.13.10 Class

Saturday, February 13th, 2010

2.13.10 Class – About 3 inches of snow – but that did not stop us from an epic workout. We found some cover for our push-ups and core work, and then did 4 loops of indian runs (about 2+ miles total) and leg work. Great camaraderie this morning!

2.10.10 Class

Wednesday, February 10th, 2010

2.10.10 Class – Very WINDY this morning. Heavier on the push-ups and legs (when the mats weren’t blowing around the courts!), and some extended speed ladder work. Good workout…

2.6.10 Class

Sunday, February 7th, 2010

2.6.10 Class – We ratcheted up the intensity today – 3 cycles of push-ups and core with very little rest between sets.  A few quick stations, and then we hit the legs hard – 4 cycles of squat / lunge jumps.  Finished off with mountain climbers and hurdle / speed ladder / jump rope drills…

2.3.10 Class

Friday, February 5th, 2010

2.3.10 Class – A bit wet outside, courts still covered with a sheet of ice, but we improvised! Good dynamic warmup on a cleared park path. Lots of push-ups, core and legwork under cover of a pavilion.
