8.28.10 Class

Cooler this morning.  Started with a speed ladder / push-up cycle X 6.  The push-up pyramids to 5 and down, core work, leg work.  Seated shoulder presses, front planks with leg raises, side planks.  More push-ups (148 total today).  Finished with Superman, and alternating wrist taps from a push-up position.

Great weather this am – much cooler and overcast.  We took advantage of the conditions and did some hard interval / cardio work.  4 progressively faster suicides w/ push-ups in between.  More push-ups and core.  A continuous M-drill for agility.  BOSU planks, biceps curls, side planks, speed ladder drills.

Changed up the format a bit for this one – partners teamed up for alternating sets of push-ups and core work and leg exercises. 120 push-ups total. New hurdle / speed ladder configuration, BOSU ball taps, and partner med ball passes. Last cardio exercise was a defensive cover / mirror drill.

We got back into the routine with a solid workout – leg circuits incl squat jumps and 4X lunges and lots of calf raises. Push-ups of all varieties, and core work. Cycles of intense cardio – 1 min jump rope followed by hurdles + tennis ball passes, then a short break : repeat X 3. BOSU side crunches, superman arm + leg lifts, side step with tubes…
